If the initialization is not done? (red code on product, error message, etc.)

Sometimes the product's initialization is not carried out correctly: when you press the code on your alarm, the product ends up flashing red, you don't receive an SMS and you get an error message. First of all, you need to try this procedure again outdoors (street, garden, balcony, etc.), but before pressing the code, don't hesitate to press the product's button for 2 seconds to reactivate its Bluetooth. If it doesn't work there, check your network coverage here: https://www.orange-business.com/fr/reseau-iot . If you're covered by LoraWan Indoor or Outdoor then it's okay, you can try initializing the product in several outdoor locations, otherwise your product won't work properly there. If the product still doesn't work after all these operations, please contact SQUIDDY support by e-mail, chat or telephone.

If my product alerts me for no reason? (unwanted alerts)

Like all alarms, SQUIDD Home can sometimes send alerts for no reason, and this can be due to a number of factors. First of all, to limit/stop these unwanted alerts, you can switch your product to caravan mode. To do this, go to the “All my SQUIDDS” page, then click on the chosen product, then click on “detection mode”, then click on caravan mode to activate it. Secondly, you can reset the position of your alarm.

Can I move the SQUIDD Home?

Of course, you can move it at any time. All you have to do is reset the product's position once it has been installed in its final, closed position on the property you wish to secure. If you wish to change the product's group, you'll need to remove it from the group, then reset and reinstall it. If you simply wish to change the name and/or image of your alarm, you'll need to click on your alarm via your smartphone and then modify this information.

How to install the SQUIDD Home?

If you're a first-time user, take the SQUIDD Home out of the box. Download the app quickly and free of charge with the help of the quick guide, by scanning the QR-code or searching for “SQUIDDY” in your smartphone's store. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone. Create an account. Once your account has been created and validated via your mailbox, you'll need to add SQUIDD Home to the group originally created on your SQUIDDY app: press “add a SQUIDD” then press the orange button on the product for 2 seconds. Give it a name (you must also add a logo to the product by clicking on the photo pictogram). Then press the number that appears on your smartphone screen, which corresponds to the serial number on the left side of your box (SN number). The product should flash. If you receive an activation SMS, then your product is installed and operational. All you have to do is place it in the location you wish to protect (check that the door, window or other is securely closed), then press “reset position” after clicking on the product in the “All my SQUIDDS” page. When the LED flashes, a message will appear, notifying you that the product has reset its position. Note that each time you move the alarm/change of use, once in its final position, you should reset the product's position.

How to reset your SQUIDD Home? (factory output)

First check that your alarm is disarmed. Then delete your alarm by going to its page. Now, to reset your box, you need to press the orange (On/Off) button continuously for 22 seconds. This will produce a play of light, even when you stop pressing the button. Your SQUIDD'Home is now reset.

How to add a member to a group? (management and alerts)

To allow a friend/family member/neighbor to use a group, you need to give them permission to do so. To do this, simply go to “Squidders” on your application's home screen. Then click on “Add a Squidder”, enter the e-mail address of the person you wish to invite. Finally, assign him the level of control you wish, then click on “Invite”. As long as your guest accepts your request, he or she will appear on your “Squidders” community page as a pending guest. Once the request has been sent, the guest must accept the invitation via e-mail. Once accepted, he or she will see the group on the “home” page of the application, and will be able to deactivate and activate it via Bluetooth.

How do I deactivate the SQUIDD Home without battery on my phone?

Use the multifunction button (Orange) on the SQUIDD Home to add a code. This code will enable you to unlock your product even without your phone. You can also give this code to your children, for example. You create this code when you first set up your SQUIDD, but you can change it at any time via your app.

LoRaWan is a low-speed radio communication mode that allows you to use a minimum of energy resources while remaining connected 7/7 and 24/24.

Once your year's LoRa subscription has expired, you'll receive an e-mail telling you how to subscribe to the service again.

How does the community part work?

SQUIDDY's community feature, which stands for Priority Contacts, is made up of your friends, family and neighbors. In the event of an intrusion into your home, these people are alerted and can help you by giving you information (via a group conversation) or by calling the police if you're not at home.

Where can I use the SQUIDD Home?

If you're in France and covered by the Orange Lorawan network, you can use it in many places. House, sheds, safes, garages, basements, caravans, lockers, doors and windows... You can use your connected, mobile alarm wherever you like. All you have to do is reset its position with one click for each new use. If you're abroad and covered by the Helium network (link: https://explorer.helium.com/hex/881fb471d7fffff), you can take full advantage of your SQUIDD. If you're not covered by either LoRa or Helium, you can purchase a Helium router, which will enable you to cover your secure zone and take full advantage of your SQUIDD. Does he walk alone? What is product interconnection?

Yes, the SQUIDD Home works completely autonomously. That's what it's designed for. But the most effective way to ensure optimum protection is to install them at all sensitive points and create groups of SQUIDDS. You control the whole group via the SQUIDD Pilot you've chosen, and only this group pays the subscription fee.

Is it a waterproof product?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that this version of the SQUIDD Home is completely waterproof. It is neither immersion-proof nor waterproof. However, it is IP55 water-resistant.

How do I allow my family or certain people to deactivate the alarm?

How to change the battery of the product? Does it warn me of a low battery?

If I have no network on my phone, how can I be alerted?

Thanks to LoRaWan, SQUIDD Home remains connected up to level -2 on certain configurations. Most of the time, the one installed in your garage will need to be connected to a group with a maximum of 3 floors above.

How to install it without problems on a cellar?

If your garage is outdoors or at -1, try initializing the product outdoors, then move it to the garage door. Check that the door is closed, then press “Reset position” on the product page accessible via “All my SQUIDDS” by clicking on the logo of the initialized product. If you receive an SMS, then everything is working correctly. If you're at -2 or the product isn't sending you an SMS at -1, you'll need a second one. Install the first one on your apartment door or mailbox (3 floors apart maximum), then install another in the same group but on your garage door. It should use the first one as a relay to send you alerts.

How do I install it without 3G on my phone?
