How to install the SQUIDD Home?
If you're a first-time user, take the SQUIDD Home out of the box. Download the ‘SQUIDDY V2’ application quickly and free of charge using the quick guide, by scanning the QR code or by searching for ‘SQUIDDY V2’ in your smartphone's store. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone. Create an account on your application. Once your account has been created and validated via your mailbox, you'll need to add your SQUIDD Home to the group originally created on your SQUIDDY application: Press ‘add a SQUIDD’. Next, press the number that appears on the screen of your smartphone. This number corresponds to the serial number of your box, which appears on the left-hand side of your box (SN number). Give it a name (you also need to add a logo to the product by clicking on the photo pictogram). The product should flash. The first connection between your smartphone and the product may return an error. Don't panic, it's because you're sending the command to your box to switch on. Once the product is flashing green and the app informs you that the connection is successful, your product is installed and operational. All you have to do is place it where you want to protect it, then press the padlock to the closed position to activate the system. You're now secure!
If my product alerts me for no reason? (unwanted alerts)
Like all alarms, SQUIDD Home can sometimes send alerts for no reason, which can be due to a number of factors. To limit/stop these nuisance alerts, you can manually manage the sensitivity of your alarm. To do this, go to the ‘All my SQUIDDS’ page, then click on the product you want. You can then manage the sensitivity of your box by adjusting your cursor. You can also move the product to the place where there is the least vibration.
Can I move the SQUIDD Home?
You can, of course, move it at any time. One of the major advantages of the SQUIDDY solution is the unlimited mobility of your alarm. All you have to do is ‘un-fix’ your product and then ‘re-fix’ it wherever you want. To activate your alarm in this new location, simply activate the system by pressing the padlock in the closed position. You can repeat this operation as many times as you like and in any location.
How to reset your SQUIDD Home? (factory output)
First of all, check that your alarm is disarmed. Then go to ‘All my SQUIDDs’, click on the box you want to delete. For example: ‘Entrance Door’ and simply press ‘Delete’ at the bottom of the page. This will produce a play of light on your product. Your SQUIDD'Home V2 is now reset.
How to add a member to a group? (management and alerts)
To allow a friend/family member/neighbour to use a group, you need to give them permission to do so. To do this, simply go to ‘Squidders’ on your application's home screen. Then click on ‘Add a Squidder’ and enter the e-mail address of the person you wish to invite. Finally, give them the order level you want and click ‘Add’. As long as your guest accepts your request, he or she will appear in the ‘Squidders’ section of your community page. Once the request has been sent, the guest must download the ‘SQUIDDY V2’ application, create an account and then accept the invitation via their e-mail. Once accepted, they will see the group on their ‘home’ page in the application, and will be able to deactivate and activate it via Bluetooth, depending on the rank you have given them.
How do I deactivate the SQUIDD Home without battery on my phone?
Thanks to the TAP function on your SQUIDD Home, all you have to do is tap your Morse code, previously entered in your application, directly on the box to the right of the buzzer under the LED. This code will enable you to unlock your product even without your phone. You can also give this code to your children, for example. You create this code when you first configure your SQUIDD, but you can change it at any time via your app.
What is LoRaWan?
LoRaWan is a low-speed radio communication method that uses a minimum of energy resources while remaining connected 7/7 and 24/24. In our case, this network will be used to receive notifications (SMS) sent by your alarm.

Once your year's LoRa subscription has expired, you will receive an e-mail telling you how to subscribe to the service again. Don't forget, though, that if you refer someone to LoRa, you will be offered a second year's subscription.
Where can I use the SQUIDD Home?
If you're in France and covered by the Orange Lorawan network, you can use it in many places. Houses, sheds, safes, garages, basements, caravans, lockers, doors and windows... You can use your connected and mobile alarm wherever you want. If you're abroad and covered by the Hélium network (link: https://explorer.helium.com/hex/881fb471d7fffff), you can take full advantage of your SQUIDD. If you're not covered by either LoRa or Helium, your alarm will still work. In the event of an intrusion attempt, your alarm will detect a shock or movement and start ringing. However, you won't receive any feedback (SMS or e-mail). However, you also have the option of purchasing a Helium router, which will enable you to cover your secure zone and take full advantage of your SQUIDD. For this option, please contact us.
Does he walk alone? What is product interconnection?
Yes, the SQUIDD Home works completely independently. That's what it's designed for. But the most effective way of providing optimum protection is to install them at all sensitive points and create groups of SQUIDDS. You control the whole group using the SQUIDD Pilot you've chosen beforehand, and only that group pays the subscription.
Is it a waterproof product?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that this version of the SQUIDD Home is completely waterproof. It is not immersion-proof or waterproof. However, it is IP55 water-resistant.
What happens if SQUIDD Home detects a gale and not an intrusion?
If the movement remains slight, it will not detect any alerts. However, you can manually manage the sensitivity of the SQUIDD Home in case you encounter too many alerts due to wind, for example.
How do I allow my family or certain people to deactivate the alarm?
Via the priority contacts manager in your SQUIDDERS community. You can manage the level of control they will have. For your family, you authorise some of them to unlock your SQUIDD Home groups with the rank of admin or principal.
How to change the battery of the product? Does it warn me of a low battery?
To change the battery, open it using the appropriate screwdriver, sold on the site, and simply change it after buying it in our shop. In fact, you can see the alarm's current battery level on each product via the application.
Can certain alarm parameters be adjusted? Like the siren or its duration?
The power of the siren is not adjustable, it will always be on full to better protect you. On the other hand, we seek to give you more choices and options on the application, which will happen during 2022.
As long as it has a battery is in its cell and the Lorawan network, the SQUIDD Home is permanently connected to you.
When the SQUIDD Home detects an intrusion and is triggered, you and your community are alerted directly on your smartphone via notification, e-mail and SMS. Following these messages, you can contact the police.

What happens if I forget to close a window equipped with SQUIDD Home before leaving?
The SQUIDD Home will warn you if it is activated in the wrong position and ask you to close the door properly. The same applies to any type of opening.
Cellar and garage
How can the system be connected underground?
Thanks to LoRaWan, SQUIDD Home remains connected up to level -2 on certain configurations. Most of the time, the one installed on your garage will have to be connected to a group no more than 3 floors above it.
How to install it without problems on a cellar?
If your garage is outside or at -1 level, try initialising the product outside, then move it to the garage door. Check that the door is closed, then press ‘Reset position’ on the product page accessible via ‘All my SQUIDDS’ by clicking on the logo of the initialised product. If you receive an SMS then everything is working correctly. If you are at -2 or the product does not send you an SMS at -1 then you will need a second one. Install the first one on your flat door or in your letterbox (3 floors apart maximum), then install another in the same group but on your garage door. It should use the first one as a relay to send you alerts.
How do I install it without 3G on my phone?
A special "basements" function is available on the application, you just have to follow the instructions during installation.
